Dimitris Kaltsas

  🎓

Master in Geotechnical Engineering (TU Delft) with Civil Engineering background

  💼

Product Manager Subsea Drilling at Fugro

  📍

  📋

Rotterdam, the Netherlands

I was born and raised in Greece and living for a bit more than a decade in the Netherlands. After studying Civil Engineering in Athens (NTUA) I completed the Master of Science programme of Geotechnical Engineering at TU Delft. Fascinated by the offshore world, I joined Fugro in 2016 and worked as a Geotechnical Engineer and Consultant on various marine site characterisation and foundation design projects. In 2020, I enhanced my experience providing geotechnical support to Offshore Wind foundation installation projects, while touching base with business development and technical sales aspects. Since 2023, I work as a Product Manager of fascinating innovative subsea drilling solutions, increasing the impact and efficiency of meaningful geo-data acquisition. Apart from the Offshore Wind industry and its developments, I get fascinated by communication, influencing and leadership, topics I have followed courses about and skills I constantly try to improve. A big-time generalist and an empathetic listener. I strongly believe that everyone can elevate and reach their full potential by being coachable. That's why I am an active mentor of young employees within Fugro and affiliated with the Career Centre of TU Delft. Both the mentee and the mentor can profit immensely by meaningful interactions, with active listening and an open mind. Looking back, I could never predict the turns my career took and I am very thankful for these interactions that helped me find my own purpose and know myself better. And this feeling I want to reciprocate. Looking forward to an exciting journey together!
